  • REAL TALK: Are relationships more challenging right now during the pandemic? What are some things YOU are doing to stay positive and connected in your relationship? If you are not in one, how are you staying connected with roommates, family, and friends? Let me know below! I would love to hear everyone's suggestions. ❤️

    • I really appreciate you being so honest and open. In our society we are embarrassed to admit things are hard or not perfect and that’s just not realistic. It puts false ideals in everyone’s head so everyone thinks “what’s wrong with us?” When it’s normal for this to be hard.

I’ve been sleeping a lot through days and I just feel overall defeated...I want to break out of the cycle...

For 11 years now. I do find relationships with other people very hard, i am not very trusting at all. I have a really small circle and no friends. Also relationships with co workers never go deep. Kinda sad..

  • Ended up staying with my partner and his parents because of the pandemic. So all the good things went out the window. Initially I wanted him to stay with me during the pandemic, however his parents didn't approve so I moved in with them. I'm 25, his 31. All the good has faded. He thinks I'm pessimistic and I don't know how to relax. I'm so confused at this point.

  • Me and my husband got engaged AND got married during Corona 😁 We also work at home together, side by side... But it's fine! Here in Sweden we can go outside any time we want, go to the cinema, meet friends and so on. Our kids also goes to school and kindergarden everyday so maybe that's why we don't feel as "trapped" like others in other countries. But life is still "not normal"!

  • I've been in two relationships in my life, one lasting 12 years and neither one them had been hard. I honestly think that if it's hard you are forcing something that isn't meant to be together. Like puzzle pieces. Love alone is never enough if the people are so vastly different.

    Pers GodivaPers Godiva5 månader sedan
    • That isn't to say you shouldn't have issues, every couple needs to discuss things, have arguments etc. But if you genuinely think it's hard all the time because your principles don't line up, you have different priorities in life than that relationship, for all its love, is more misery than anything else. It can be difficult. But it shouldn't be hard.

I moved in with my partner around 3 months ago and it has taken such a toll on me. I miss having my own space. We share a bedroom and bathroom and we have a housemate. This whole time I felt like I had to suck it up and love it because I'm with my partner, but I really don't feel like being with someone this often is healthy. We don't fight or anything. I just really need my space.

  • Bad Relationships are hard but not the good ones. Every single day you are choosing to be with your partner, as simple as it is. The hard work seems like normal to you, somehow is part of the relationship. If you think something is hard and difficult, please disconnect and find your inner balance. There is nothing worst in the world than to be with someone who is a hard work to you. The Key is to have a great communication, do not change your partner. Don't take things too personal, sometimes it has nothing to do with you. Let him/her figure it out by itself. Give space and let new things happen to the relationship. Don't think in black and white. What works for you, maybe is not good for others. Be unique in your relationship and allow mistakes to happen. Stay balanced and strong in this difficult times. Just have fun.

  • We had our biggest argument/fight yet a few days ago. It's definitely been hard. We keep having ups and downs, and have some similarities in how we deal with negative emotions--closing ourselves off, staying quiet, not showing affection. I admit I'm not always the best at showing affection; though I'm 32 this is my first serious relationship so it's been quite a learning experience. Due to my anxiety I often overthink little things and worry about the future and how uncertain everything is. He doesn't want to give up on me, and I don't want to give up on him. When I filter out all the negativity in my mind I can see what an amazing person he is, and I feel fortunate to have him. I need to do a better job of showing I appreciate him, and I need to stop having hang-ups about intimacy and allow myself to be more vulnerable. I hope we can come out on the other side of all this closer and happier.

  • The start of quarantine was really hard for my SO but it as now allowed us so much insight on our strengths. I'm someone like you and Nick as you said in your video I'm independent but the fact that we were not quarantined together didn't help. We're both neuroatypical and understanding each other trough facetime was nearly impossible. We both had to talk a lot and we checked a lot of books about couples. I'm a strong believer in the fact that you shouldn't be dependent and I definitely feel good (not as good as when we're together but it's a big thing for me who's super anxious) even if he's not around because we're in a secure attachment style and it's something that I'm really proud of because I was a victims of abuse. I definitely think this pandemic will prove to somes peoples that they've met their twin flames / soulmate or the opposite.

  • It this "method" work for you? As i know an app cant tell us when our fertile Window has open (its an app) And only basal tempeture cant tell us that. We need to know other signs like cervical mucus and cervix positions to know at the end of every day if we are fertile or not. Be side a lot of thing can give us fake tempeture like drink alcohol, estres, go to sleep at diferent time, sleep less than 5 hs and much more. I hope this comment dont soun disrespect. But im really concerned about this info!

    Agustina VidalAgustina Vidal7 månader sedan
    • Hey Augustina 👋you may find this link helpful: 💜The main issue with the cervical mucus method in that it’s not a simple science. Cervical fluid varies from woman to woman and cycle to cycle and is open to interpretation - at the same time, sex secretion can also confuse things. While we believe that cervical mucus is a useful sign to track throughout the cycle, it can be a very tricky method to use in terms of birth control.

  • My relationship has not been strained by the quarantine. It did move our wedding date to ??? since May 18th was out of the question. The years before that I went through some of the worst years of my life with my man and we've come out way stronger as a result. This is nothing to us, it feels (relationship-strain wise). Were used to spending a lot of time together, being in the same room (we live in a tiny apartment) and really this quarantine has felt "easy" in that aspect.

So my bf and I were doing really well at home together for 4 months communicating and lunch together. Very ironic :') He won't go off to work everyday now, but we do need to find that balance and rhythm again.

    • Claire Devins Hi Claire 👋🏻 Nick generally does not like to be on camera and often doesn’t feel comfortable being filmed. I fully respect this and think it is very natural for people who are not using to broadcasting their lives on the internet to appear awkward and closed off in a video meant for tens of thousands of people. I would never want to force Nick to film with me or put him in a position where he is obligated to be on camera. That said, he does make an occasional vlog appearance because he knows it makes me happy and for this I am very grateful and appreciative! We put equal amounts of work into our relationship off camera and anything you see online is a very small portion of our personal life. I may be much more open with my life online, but he is a private person and I deeply respect this. Hoping that others can as well. ❤️
